A message from Benny to you, please share this with everyone you know:

For a man who has been told he has a gift for words, I find it strange to find myself speechless when I think about the outpouring of love and support I have received from you.

I have been in the hospital now for almost a year. I fight every day to get well enough to be able to return to Syracuse to play for my fans once more, which has always felt more like home to me than anywhere else. People out here find it hard to believe when I say this, but I would take a snowy day in Syracuse over the most beautiful day in Southern California any day of the week.

I am doing everything I can to try and make it to the show on July 13, but if I can’t be there, I will be watching a live stream on my computer. I promise you this – I will make it back to Syracuse, and I will see you all. There will be another show.

Jane regularly shows me your encouraging Facebook posts, and we read all the emails and letters of love and support that you have sent. You all are what has kept me fighting so hard through these dark days. I truly appreciate everyone who has donated to my Gofundme campaign or bought tickets to the upcoming benefit show. I only wish I could thank all of you personally.

The people of Syracuse have saved my life so many times. I don’t know what I did to deserve this love, but I am grateful every day that you have been there for me. I fell in love with you over 35 years ago when I played my first show there, and I will love you all every day for the rest of my life.

Thank you, and God bless.

Benny
